Lounge on the Farm
Sooo Lounge on the Farm is just a few weeks away, and you can still get tickets, which is ridiculous. If you haven't been before, this is surely the finest of the smaller festivals (minus Bestival obv), set on a farm near Canterbury with bands playing in the Cow Shed, on bales of hay, in fields, that sort of thing. The line up this year is excellent as always, with the likes of Black Kids, New York Dolls(!), Lightspeed Champion, The Bees, The Coral and Mystery Jets to fill those indie needs, and Toddla T, Midfield General, DJ Format and Filthy Dukes tearing up the "Hoedown" Tent... get your tix soon!
Disco time
So if there ever was a reason to go to itunes and get the Erol Alkan podcast it is this. The latest mix is genuine disco, and it is excellent. He told discodust this "i've put together a 80 minute mix of some disco vibes which are lighting up my stratosphere."
good.

suspended bridge with sweet shop
So this was the highlight of the Free Range stuff on Thursday. The card at the bottom says "Project - suspended bridge with sweet shop in south bank". And if you can't quite work it out, the model shows a bridge going down the thames with a bright orange sweet shop which is taller than the London Eye. In addition to this there is some sort of MASSIVE silver egg on its side in the middle? Thinking outside the box yeah?
Also there was a show of people that had just finished a degree in "media make-up".... which is face painting. boom.
Anyway.... check out this "two doors down" remix...

Free Range
Free Range is "Europe's largest showcase of graduate art and design" - it's also an excellent way to get drunk for free on Brick Lane and mock peoples "art". There are private (read - public) views every Thursday night till the middle of July, which means Thursday nights just got a lot cheaper. Look at the website for a taste of what's going on.
